The Duna Collection – A Modern Fusion of Elements

Porcelanosa recently unveiled one of their latest bathroom furniture design concepts Duna, which was designed with the idea of blending of materials in an innovative and attractive way.

The core structure of the Duna vanity consists of a canal-shaped aluminium sheet with a basin made of granite. The vanity was designed this way to create a sense of spaciousness without compromising the design.

The aluminium sheet, which is the wall-hung component, is curved and U-shaped and perfectly integrated with the rest of the furniture. The basin sits inside of the aluminum sheet and is made of natural granite, which by means of folding technology, fits into the interior gap of the curved sheet invisibly, thus, providing complete continuity with the veining in the material.

In terms of finishes, the aluminium piece has a lacquered black appearance while the basin is shown in the Portobello granite finish.

Storage for the Bathroom

Duna offers a single-drawer wall-hung piece of furniture in a rustic-effect natural oakwood.

This allows for increased storage space in the bathroom with the sophisticated simple aesthetics of the basin.

The Duna collection includes a matching aluminium mirror, following the same curved lines as the vanity.

To give the basin practicality and functionality, the aluminium sheet includes a small opening on the right-hand side, next to the granite piece, which works as a towel rail. Similarly, the mirror has built-in lighting and a shelf is supported inside the ring that is perfect for hanging and placing everyday items close to the basin.

This collection will be available in the Spring of 2017.
