Porcelanosa Project: Hard Rock Hotel in Ibiza, Spain

Porcelanosa’s very own solid surface material Krion®, inspired the renovation of the ‘Hard Rock Hotel’ taking the place of the former five star ‘Don Toni Hotel’ in Ibiza.

The Urcoisa Construction Firm team put together a design that not only encompassed the Hard Rock brand, but also catered to the high end Mediterranean island feeling. The overall design being bright, airy and innovative; including all the modern luxury amenities with views of the sea.

The hotel, totaling in 493 individual rooms, 14 restaurants/bars run by gourmet chef Paco Roncero and an oversized conference room with a 700 person maximum capacity complete with large terrace, utilized Porcelanosa’s most advanced material to-date throughout most of its spaces.

Krion® a seamless solid surface material that is chemical, fire and frost resistant is available in a wide color range and can be custom designed to fit just about any spaces needs. The Hard Rock Hotel used Porcelanosas Krion® for designing the bed structures and sinks in all 493 state rooms including the American bar and the specially designated concert area next to the outdoor swimming pool. Porcelanosa’s Krion® serves as a decorative focal point for the concert area, having a custom made Krion® backdrop.

The result of Urcoisa Construction Firm’s design paired with the unique solid surface material by Porcealonsoa completes an ergonomic and dynamic luxury space on the island of Ibiza.
