Porcelanosa Project: Dugally Penthouse
‘Dugally Penthouse’ project is the new construction of a penthouse in a residential luxury condominium overlooking the Las Vegas Strip in Nevada.
Porcelanosa’s own Manuel Olguin and Karina Ovespian, kitchen designers from Porcelanosa’s West Hollywood location worked with the client to bring the 300sqft kitchen from conception through to completion.
The kitchen, full of natural light became brighter utilizing white finishes throughout with white polished porcelain floors and lacquered Porcelanosa cabinetry complete with integrated handles. Color was brought into the space with the darker granite countertops which were complimented with top of the line appliances in stainless steel.
Challenges in this project were to integrate the round columns that framed the kitchen which prohibited the ability to install a hood that would vent to the exterior of the building. The solution was to meld the columns with the rest of the design, this was achieved by wall papering the columns with a darker contrasting color similar to the countertop, then completing the kitchen design with innovative decorative ventilators that would recirculate the air but would look like elegant chandeliers with crystals.
By providing these decorative ventilators, Porcelanosa’s team was not only able to provide a solution for the ventilation hood but also provided a focal decorative element that complimented the design perfectly.
