Air Slate is one of Porcelanosa’s newest collections. Air Slate is made out of natural stone and is only 1/16”-3/16” thick, making it incredibly thin. Air Slate is available in slabs that are 47″x94″, making it an ideal product to use when covering large surfaces, and is available in 5 different shades. Air Slate features a thin layer of fiberglass within the slab, which reinforces the material’s flexibility rate. Despite its large size, Air Slate can be transported and installed easily due to its lightweight features.
Because of these unique characteristics, Air Slate is an ideal material that can be used in projects due to the fact that it can be installed over very large or curved areas easily. If the large format size of Air Slate does not adhere to your project, Air Slate can be cut down to a different size by simply by using a circular saw. It also only requires a one component adhesive to secure a slab of Air Slate to a surface.
Air Slate is intended to be used on interior walls, shower walls, and exterior walls. It’s large format size allows the product to be an excellent choice for remodeling projects, or projects that need large areas covered. Air Slate can also be easily installed on uneven surfaces due to the product’s flexibility. However, the unique features of this new covering to go beyond wall tiling – letting Air Slate become a possible medium for covering washbasins, large columns and many other surfaces.
