History & Philosophy
One of Porcelanosa's specialties is the design and development of kitchens. Our cabinetry is original and beautiful and the selection is diverse, providing looks to complement any individual style; we are constantly innovating new features to improve functionality and efficiency.
From the very beginning, we have kept a position of respect and commitment to the environment. Our industrial plants have been in harmonious coexistence with an agricultural sector that requires environmental responsibility. We use sustainable, recycled materials in our products and environmentally-friendly manufacturing practices.
A Porcelanosa kitchen is more than a kitchen; it's a way of living, an outstanding value and investment in your home. We introduce to you our unique products and features, discuss our materials, finishes and internal components. We show you the practical and functional benefits based on ergonomic and individual needs. Together, we develop a schedule and budget within your reach. Then, based on these initial meetings, we draft a design and preliminary estimate for your consideration.
Materials & Construction
Our cabinet carcasses are manufactured using water-resistant particleboard, with coated long-lasting, durable interiors. Sliding frames are used for storage shelving in columns and corner units. All hinges are completely metal, drawer pull-outs use cutting-edge Quadro guide rails and non-slip, anti-mold liners come standard. Dowel and joint construction, not glue so fronts do not become loose with loss of adhesive.

We invite you to visit our showroom to review your remodeling or new construction plans and discuss design possibilities with our in-house kitchen design specialist. There is no fee associated with a preliminary consultation and walk-ins are always welcome. In this consultation you will be able to see our many options available as well as understand our design and manufacturing processes. With your input, by the end of this meeting, the Porcelanosa kitchen design specialist will have enough information to move forward to the next stage.
Preparation of Preliminary Budget Estimate
With a rough plan or layout of your kitchen area, we can develop a fairly accurate budget estimate for your cabinetry. An architect or interior designer's plans are preferable, but a simple layout will work as well. A suffiicient plan should include wall dimensions, location of windows and doors as well as ceiling height. Kitchen design and development of drawings Upon your approval of the estimate, we require a design retainer to move forward in the development of the final design. This one-time fee is also applied to the final purchase price of your cabinetry and kitchen furniture at the time of ordering. Our in-house kitchen designer will then generate the full cabinetry fabrication drawings for your kitchen. At this stage, the Porcelanosa kitchen designer will field measure and inspect the job site, gathering relevant information. Detailed drawings of your final cabinetry layout and design will then be finalized.
Once the cabinetry plan is completed and approved, a deposit of 50% (less the initial design retainer) will be required to order the cabinetry from Spain. This balance is due prior to the delivery of your cabinetry. Lead-time for cabinetry delivery is 10-14 weeks. At this point your kitchen designer will review the design and ensure our cabinets will accommodate appliances and plumbing fixtures selected.
A typical installation is likely to take between five and ten days depending on the size and scope of the project. During intstallation, our design team visits the site as often as necessary to oversee and remain in close contact with the cabinetry installers, your contractors and address any concerns you might have.
When the installation of your new kitchen has been completed, your Porcelanosa kitchen designer will meet with you to familiarize you with your new space, the appliances and to confirm that all the requirements that were discussed originally have been met.
