Leadership

PORCELANOSA expects all employees in a management or supervisory capacity to lead by example. Being a manager or a supervisor at PORCELANOSA, North America does not mean access to privileges and status; rather, it denotes a higher responsibility and sense of duty. Leadership personnel must make any and all efforts to create and maintain an environment in which employees can grow, participate and innovate in the business.

PORCELANOSA believes that to accomplish that goal any manager or supervisor must “walk the talk,” that is to say, he/she must be prepared to

  1. be among the first to arrive for work and the last to leave;
  2. Provide help in any way possible, particularly in extraordinary circumstances or when employees may need it most;
  3. Delegate and instill a sense of ownership in employees, facilitating any necessary resources;
  4. Set aggressive but achievable goals, sparing no efforts to spearhead any course of action;
  5. Provide timely and constructive feedback on performance, communicating appreciation for good or superior performance, and addressing cases of lack thereof;
  6. Support and implement, in a proactive and constructive manner, all PORCELANOSA policies;
  7. Seek professional development in both technical and managerial skills;
  8. Overcome barriers by challenging oneself and others with new ideas, transforming problems and obstacles into challenges and opportunities;
  9. Link objectives of each individual to overall goals and objectives of the organization;
  10. Encourage professional decision-making and responsibility; and
  11. Last but not least, any manager, supervisor or employee at PORCELANOSA, North America must adhere to the highest standards of ethical and professional behavior.
