Colorstuk especial is the ideal high-performance mortar for grouting tile joints of up to 8mm on any kind of tiled surface, whether indoors or out. Resistant and easy to use, it ensures colorfast tile joints, guaranteeing a perfect finish when used with rectified tiles or minimum joint widths. Resistant to damp, frost and ice and ultra-violet rays.

Colorstuk especial is made of aggregates with a controlled grain size distribution, highly resistant cements, pigments and special additives. Thanks to its finely ground grain size, it easily penetrates tile joints of a minimum width.

  • Store in a dry place in its original container.
  • Do not use Colorstuk in places where resistance to acids is required. In such cases, use Epotech.
  • Do not use grouting material for intermediate, perimeter or structural joints.
  • Use a compressible material suitable for each specific case.
  • When grouting tiles outdoors, protect them from rain and frost for the first 24 hours.
  • When grouting absorbent, rough or polished tiles, carry out a test prior to cleaning them.

INSTALLATION

1. Colorstuk especial must be mixed using a proportion of 33% clean water (1 litre of water per 3kg sack). Use a mechanical mixer at a low speed to obtain a smooth, creamy mix with no lumps.

2. Leave it to rest for 3-4 minutes, then mix it again lightly before it is used.

3. Do not remix with more water once the mortar has begun to set. Do not add sand or additives.

4. Spread the product over the tile joints and press down with a rubber trowel until the joints have been completely filled. Remove any surplus grouting material with the same trowel, moving it diagonally across the tiles. Before cleaning the tile joints, wait for a few minutes for the grouting material to begin to set. The time will depend on the absorption of the tiles, environmental temperature and ventilation. Clean the joints with a slightly damp fine sponge, moving it diagonally across the tile joints.

5. Then wipe a dry sponge along the joints to prevent moisture-related changes in color.

6. Once the grouting material is dry, remove the surface film of dust with a clean, dry cloth. During the grouting process, do not use tools that might scratch the surface of the tiles. Do not let the grouting material dry on top of the tiles. When grouting polished tiles or natural stone, carry out a cleaning test first to ensure good results. To seal intermediate, perimeter or structural joints, suitable compressible materials should be used, like p-404 polyurethane or butech prefabricated joints.
