UPDATED! Atlanta Grand Opening

Porcelanosa Atlanta's grand opening event, hosted by both Porcelanosa and Atlanta Magazine on April 19th, reached full attendance capacity. Approximately 300 guests were greeted at the door to the sounds of nuevo Flamenco guitarist and composer Witold Tulodziecki. American Spirit Whiskey provided refreshing mojito cocktails, and Carole Parks catering provided delicious tapas, such as manchego cheese with catalan tomato bread, smoked marinated chicken with mahon cheese skewers, and almond macaroons.

Porcelanosa Atlanta's grand opening was a success and we would like to send a sincere thank you to the team at ADAC for supporting Porcelanosa's Grand Opening event.

The Contest

The purpose of the contest is to select the most successful entry in incorporating different materials and products by Porcelanosa for use in interior design, as well as fostering the creativity of new and emmerging professionals, helping to promote them, and recognizing their work. This is a contest to design a vignette display for Porcelanosa's Orange County showroom in Anaheim, CA utilizing Porcelanosa products in a bathroom setting. The contest is open to people in the following two categories:

Professionals: Practicing interior designers, decorators & interior architects - active professional members of ASID Orange County, CA chapter.
Students: Interior design students currently enrolled - active student members of ASID Orange County, CA chapter.

Call for entries begins April 19th, 2012 / Deadline to submit is May 30th, 2012 at midnight

Winners & Prizes

Professionals: The winning vignette in the Professional category will be installed in Porcelanosa's Anaheim showroom with a plaque of recognition.

Students: The winner in the Student category will receive a $500 cash prize.
Winners will be announced on June 6th, 2012

UPDATED! Maryland Grand Opening

More than 450 guests, which included architects, designers, clients, and friends of Porcelanosa joined the festivities to celebrate the Grand Opening of a New Porcelanosa showroom. Chef Jose Andres and top model Valeria Mazza made grand entrances, and gracious speeches about their partnership with Porcelanosa and Spain. Silvestre Segarra was announced as the Vice-President of Porcelanosa Grupo, and made a speech about Porcelanosa's beginnings, and our growing US market. The Ambassdor of Spain, the honorable Jorge Dezcallar, was also invited, and made a speech about Porcelanosa and it's place in the world. Exotic international models were on hand to receive guests and make them feel welcome. Porcelanosa Maryland's general manager, David Carmona was on hand to present the showroom. Jose Andres and Valeria Mazza posed for many pictures, with local Maryland magazines covering the event. Jose Andres catering staff prepared liquid olives- an explosion of the taste of Spain, croquettas, jamon y queso, and olives and anchovies with guindilla peppers. His team also served cava, sangria, and red and white Spanish wine. Live music featuring a Spanish guitar duo was also another wonderful part of the evening.

The doors to the Anaheim location opened October 26th to celebrate the grand re-opening of Porcelanosa's Orange County showroom with a Spanish-themed event. The event hosted by Porcelanosa and Luxe magazine, was enjoyed by architects, designers and other industry professionals. Lizarran Tapas, a Spanish restaurant local to Orange County, provided food & spirits. See more about this event in the upcoming, winter issue of Luxe magazine, on newsstands soon.
