» Dressing up a staircase
A gentle curve
This staircase joins two floors of a home with a helical shape, underscored by a concrete frame and subtle steel banister. In this 3-D simulation, the steps are done in Original Ceramic Parquet by Porcelanosa. Measuring 18 x 65.9 cm, the pieces are examples of the Roble Cognac model. This material is very easy to install and requires no maintenance. It resists stains, wearand-tear and humidity. Its color does not fade, it is fireproof and it withstands changes in temperature.
It comes in a variety of colors, from Roble Natural to Roble Vecchio, Hoyo Natural, Hoyo Nórdico, Fresno Natural and Fresno Miel. The floor is done in the Brick Piedra mosaic from the Ciottoli collection by Porcelanosa. The pieces are 37,7 x 37,7 cm.
Steps in mind-air
Like a bridge, this high-tech staircase is as graceful as it is sturdy and blends two fashionable materials, steel and stone. The latter in this case is Ston-Ker, the natural ceramic stone from Porcelanosa. The steps measure 31.6 x 65.9 cm and here they are made of Durango Piedra. They can also be ordered with an anti-slip finish. These steps are made specifically for staircases: they can be installed freestanding, or as in the picture, anchored to a metal frame, and come in a wide range of colors.
The same floor goes up (or down) the stairs
In this loft-like setting with large windows looking out onto the countryside, the idea was to retain the visual continuity of the floor, even though it has three steps. This 3-D illustration features Porcelanosa’s Original Ceramic Parquet and the color chosen was Roble Rojo. The pieces are of generous size, like floorboards: 18 x 110 cm. This enhances its appearance as an elegant, homogenous surface. Porcelanosa’s porcelain-like parquet comes in a wide range of colors and versatile natural-wood textures. But they also have added advantages. They withstand changes in temperature and humidity, and require no special maintenance.
