A Bathroom Remodel: 5 Sources of Inspiration

At Clementine Daily we spend our days researching and writing about our sources for everyday inspiration in beauty, style, home, living, wellness and food. When it comes to the home & living category, our aesthetic is fairly specific: clean, modern, beautiful and timeless.

The same requirements ring true for our personal design projects. So in preparation for a much-needed bathroom renovation, we are researching visual inspiration and locating products that align with our style and living philosophy.

The goal: to create a serene and spa-like bathroom to accommodate a family of four and frequent out-of-town guests. We partnered with Porcelanosa to pull together five stunning bathrooms that will serve as visual inspiration, help guide our creative process and maintain our commitment to green design. We believe that these features are not mutually exclusive and were thrilled to discover Porcelanosa’s commitment to the environment.

  1. We instantly feel relaxed when looking at Porcelanosa’s Module Bathroom Series. The bluebell-white walls and Baltimore-gray flooring offer a neutral backdrop for the show stealer: an exquisite mint krion The soothing color is a subtle and offers a unique contrast to a cool palette. We are already dreaming of long, relaxing soaks (sans the aforementioned babes) in the tub.
  2. At times we find ourselves in two slightly differing design camps. The first is modern and sleek with complementary accents; the other modern, sleek with natural elements to balance out what can at times seem stark and cold. This bathroom is a beautiful example of the latter.
  3. Marble is timeless and adds a luxurious touch to this modern bath. The double sinks offer an element high atop our wish list, a personal vanity, without sacrificing space.
  4. We often gravitate towards the light and bright, but this dark, moody bath provides a masculine alternative to our feminine-leaning tastes. Perfect for a master bath or a guesthouse, we love the floor to ceiling porcelain-wood-look-tile paneling and the deep bathroom sinks – part of the Ciclo bath collection.
  5. Our final selection offers an elegant, modern and simple bath that boasts ease and practicality, also coming from Porcelanosa’s Module Bathroom Series. With small children underfoot, a dark bathroom floor hides all the inevitable drips, spills and miniature footprints that grace the rooms of our home. The stone colored tub and vanity are sophisticated and sturdy – sure to handle the inevitable wear and tear with the greatest of ease.

With our research out of the way, we can now focus on creating a bathroom that is beautiful, relaxing and purposeful.
